It's not every day that we have events at the Nantucket Home showroom but when we do we hope that the event is successful. We've had opera sung by Pamela Thornton; her voice radiating through our 100 year old rafters. We've hosted the North State Symphony and their supporters center stage to hold their annual wine tasting fundraiser. And have marveled at art during our Artoberfest festivities; featuring many local and incredibly talented artists. These (plus more) have been enjoyable to host and always bring with them an inspiring ambiance.
This next Wednesday March 28th, Nantucket Home will be hosting an event particularly close to our hearts. Most of us here are a bit wanderlust, especially this time of year… with the weather not yet sunny and future summer getaways on our minds... so we feel that the timing is perfect for Tongue in Cheek blogger, Corey Amaro to be here.
Corey was here a few years ago and brought readers as far away as Oregon and Southern California. Most of us here read her blog daily, as do her followers. So when she announced on her blog that she would be speaking in Chico at Nantucket Home, her followers had a lot to comment about (read the comments here)...
Her oftentimes poetic prose is always an indulgence and the images she captures of her everyday wanderings in southern France equally so. Her vivid stories can be funny, heartwarming, and nostalgic. And her travels and love of the brocante always cause our feet to itch with envy and curiosity. She will be here informally speaking on her travels, her love of antiquing (the hunt and the capture), her family and friends (you may know some of them as Corey is originally from Willows, CA) and of course, fielding questions from her fellow enthusiasts.
If you’re planning on traveling to France, dream of traveling to France, love antiquing, love traveling, love reading charismatic writing, or love beautiful photography you’ll not want to miss this evening.
This Wednesday the 28th
5pm to 8pm
at Nantucket Home
